Carpenters are involved in many different kinds of construction activities, from building highways and bridges to installing kitchen cabinets. Carpenters construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.
This consists of Core classes in employability, safety and tool handling, then classes in Building Materials, Cabinet Fabrication, and Advanced Wall Systems. This program lasts at least 6 months. Then most students are placed in the “On The Job” training program. Students who finishes this program also earn certification from NCCER.
